EI-EDR is a 1974 Piper PA28R-200 Arrow II which we have been operating since 1988. The aircraft has recently undergone a major refurbishment, including a complete repaint and new instrumentation and is now one of the best Piper Arrow IIs in Europe.
EDR cruises at 125kts and can comfortably accommodate four adults on touring trips. The aircraft is powered by a Lycoming IO-360 and is fully IFR equipped with Mode S and a GNS430. Further upgrades are planned.
In recent years, EDR has visited airports across Europe, including as far afield as Croatia and Spain. It is equally at home visiting airfields around Ireland, all of which are within an hour's flying time from our base in Kilrush and can comfortably be operated from airfields with grass runways of 550-600m.
It is an excellent "hours building" aircraft, providing the ideal platform to gain complex aircraft experience with constant speed propeller and retractable undercarriage operations for around the same cost as a flying school Cessna 152.
